According to theGuardian, Kyfanta Hotel is one of the top 10 budget beach hotels in the Peloponnese.
The hotel is very centrally situated, convenient to the beach, the Supermarket, tavernas, cafes/ bars, all of which are within a few minutes’ walking distance. One can literally park the car at the hotel and leave it there for the duration of the holiday.
The rooms enclose the three sides of an open interior courtyard dotted with olive trees. On the fourth
side of the courtyard there is a spacious open-air breakfast-bar and the reception area with windows.
Here there is a comfortable sitting area where guests can meet, pick up local news, use their laptops
and watch television. There is also a billiard table, as well as chess, backgammon and other board
games for young and older.
The hotel is run by its owners, Esther Grau and Yiannis Rovatsos. Esther was born in Catalonia, but
has long since succumbed to the charms of Kyparissi. She speaks Greek, Spanish, English, French and
Italian fluently, so you can feel easy about bringing foreign friends or recommending the hotel to
them!
Yiannis was born and raised in Kyparissi, speaks English and knows the locality inside and out.
Koralia, their daughter, completes the cast.
This is where you will find Esther serving breakfast – coffee, freshly pressed juice from Lakonia
oranges, local eggs, yoghurt, local honey and homemade jams, freshly baked bread, made by Esther
herself, sandwiches ( toasted or not) and sponge cake.
There is also a collection of novels in Greek and English which guests are welcome to borrow during
their stay.
